Worship gives power to life in Christ, and everyone is welcome.  In our worship we discover both who we are and whose we are.  We express our reverence for and praise of God, confess our sins, forgive ourselves and others, and accept God's forgiveness. Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:50 a.m. includes a children's sermon and church afterwards (before the adult sermon) for children who wish to attend.  On Sunday, April 10th, an Early Worship Service at 8:45 a.m. will begin and last through summer to fall.  Communion is served at worship every first Sunday of each month and is open to all in attendance, we believe Jesus' table is open to everyone.  Throughout the year we observe several special worship services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Easter Holy Week services, Boy and Girl Scouts' Sundays, All Saints Day, and Homecoming  Our Worship Committee/Team takes seriously their responsibilities to provide meaningful worship time for these events as well as regular weekly services.

Music is a major component and vital to our worship.  It is inspiring and dynamic in our service.  Professor Mark Simmons directs music programs and adult choir.  Organist Ginger Bard also teaches and directs contemporary, children’s and hand bell choirs.  The Möller pipe organ, one of the largest pipe organs in the area, and grand piano are the base instruments used in worship.  Guess instruments are used on occasion.   The church provides special music events throughout the year and holiday seasons, including offsite events.   Several individual persons and groups share talents within the community at large to promote the gospel of Christ.

Nurture strives to support and care for church members through Christian love and prayer.  The Team tracks worship attendance using a Shepherding Program.  They include new members into the life of the church, encouraging all members to be closer through various “low stress” opportunities for friendship.  A few of the many scheduled events throughout the year are a Church-Wide Birthday Party, an Afternoon in the Park, Hayride and Homecoming.  Additional programs include Christian Education, Covenant Groups, Devotional materials, Walk to Emmaus, Wednesday night Bible Study with Dinner, and Young at Heart each Thursday.  We continue to grow as Christians in Love of God through nurturing our lives with His Word and fellowship.

Outreach Is our most active ministry.   In addition to activities held at the recreational facilities, Our aggressive outreach team produces weekly worship service video and audio for those in the community unable to physically attend worship.  Communion for homebound persons is provided once a month.  We are involved in Habitat for Humanity, hospital devotional materials, Meals on Wheels, Toys for Reelfoot  Rural Ministries, Relay for Life, and Twin Cities CARE (a joint denominational outreach center).  New programs are continually being researched and developed to further our efforts share Christ’s love to everyone.  For more information check the Services and Facilities section in this website, contact church office 270-472-3514 or Email Here.

Witness continues to develop new programs and services designed to assist Christians to share their faith and belief with others.  Examples of the special events are a Harvest Dinner before Thanksgiving and a Living Nativity Scene during Christmas.  Our "Coffee with a Twist" weekly program is a great opportunity for seniors to fellowship and witness, every Thursday 9-11 a.m. at the Wade House, more info.

Children ministries center around Christian education and values.  Our "3 in 1" program (children age 3 through 3rd grade) is a three part program for children encompassing music, craft and Bible stories.  It is scheduled weekly on Wednesdays through the school year.  The "4-56" program is for 4 through 6 grades and is held after school on Tuesdays during the school year.  During weekly Sunday worship, children are provided with "packets" for quiet activity and a special sermon for them midway through the service.  After the children's sermon, a children's church is held in the nursery area during the remainder of worship for those who wish to attend.  There is also Hand Bell Choir for 4 through 6 grades.  Special programs during the year include "Breakfast with Santa," Children's Christmas musical, Sabbath Party and Easter Egg Hunt.  Vacation Bible School is held each year during early summer school break.  Nursery is provided at all activities.  For more information Email Here.

Youth programs are centered around high school and college students.  The "United Methodist Youth" (UMY) meet weekly on Sunday evenings for meal and activities, including use of Willingham Center.  A youth Bible study is also held each Wednesday evening.  Contemporary Choir is also available for youth, along with a few adults who enjoy contemporary Christian music.  Other annual events include a Venture River Trip, Youth Sunday and College worship services.  The young persons are the future of the church and they contribute greatly in many areas at Fulton United Methodist.

United Methodist Men (UMM) meet monthly on the first Saturday at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast, fellowship, devotions, and on occasion have a guest speaker.  We seek to find ways of service to our church and community, and cooperate with other men's organizations within and out of the United Methodist Church.  For more information contact Church Office, 270-472-3514..
